Finland has many black metal bands, but not all stick with very raw, lo-fi, solo / one-man-band formats for decades.

Diaboli shows that approach is viable and can produce a coherent discography over time. Also their use of Finnish (in recent work) and pagan / nature themes adds local identity to the international black metal tapestry.

Now the Finnish black metal veteran Petri Ilvespakka rises again with a brand-new MLP!

“Animistic Rites of North” delivers four fierce hymns of raw and timeless darkness, steeped in pagan spirit and northern atmosphere.
