With pride and respect, we can announce that the English band The Felling Of An Ancient Oak will be working with us from now on.
As a first step, we will reissue their self-titled second album on CD (and later also on LP). After that, there will also be a release of new material.
The Felling Of An Ancient Oak play a very original blend of primitive and rural black metal, infused with influences from neofolk and martial industrial.
Moosegut’s “From the Deepening Gloom” returns in its only official and fully band-approved edition, presented as the final and authoritative version of Moosegut’s debut album.
Forged in an era where conviction outweighed comfort, this album stands as a grim declaration of intent — hostile, disciplined, and resolutely anti-modern. Stripped of embellishment and compromise, Moosegut deliver a sound rooted in raw aggression and militant resolve, untouched by revisionism or retroactive correction.
This re-release restores the album in its proper form, reclaiming it from inferior and unofficial circulations. One additional bonus track from the original era is included, reinforcing the album’s unified vision and completing the work as it was originally conceived.
There will be no alternate editions, no revisions, and no further reissues. This release supersedes all previous versions.
