The second album by Godless North seems to be cursed, as it just can’t seem to reach completion or a state that the band deems worthy of release.
The long hiatuses, during which the band appears unreachable and creatively absent, certainly don’t help in finalizing this sophomore effort. In 2019, an album titled “Wampyric Coffinspirit” was recorded and initially released digitally, but band founder Othalaz was dissatisfied with the result and decided to re-record everything.
That re-recording has yet to happen, and the Canadian band’s second album still awaits completion and release.
The latest version, mastered by Mikko Aspa, can be listened to below.
While fans wait for Othalaz’s return, there’s talk of repressing the band’s stellar debut album, “Summon the Age of Supremacy”, this time featuring the original cover artwork.
