The small but exceptional Indonesian tape label Ancient Horror Records is dedicated to showcasing the finest local black metal acts to the international scene, and D.T.B. is actively supporting this mission by releasing selected Indonesian bands and albums on CD and LP.
Two upcoming releases feature Thy Astral Blood and Solemn Imagist, both embodying raw yet symphonic black metal in their own unique ways. As observed in the evolution of cultures elsewhere: when a genre reaches a certain stage of development, stagnation often sets in, and creative vitality wanes.
Where Western black metal is losing authenticity and originality, bands from previously overlooked and unknown regions are injecting fresh energy into the genre, ensuring that the black flame of black metal continues to burn brightly!
