Russian Shadow ov Fenris is a black metal band from St. Petersburg.
Their new album “Head Severed” consists of 6 tracks over 50 min total. It is a bit more experimental than their previous work, but still in the same mood.
The biggest experiment on the album is the last track, which is a Russian black metal cover version of the song “Emperor of the Sun” by the German epic martial/industrial band TRIARII.
All lyrics are in Russian, however, English translations will be added to the booklet.
As in the previous work, the lyrical themes here are dark symbolism, eschatological visions as well as images from Norse and Antique mythology.
D.T.B. Records will release “Head Severed” on digipak CD in late 2025.
